New exhibit shows pictorial popular history of Mexican wars
On Thursday, Oct. 3, Hite Art Institute visiting scholar El铆n Luque Agraz will open 鈥淟a otra historia, exvotos mexicanos,鈥 an exhibit of pictorial votive offerings dating from the 17th-century to the present day that provide a popular record of the Independence wars and the Mexican Revolution.
UofL, researcher receive combined $23.3 million
The University of Louisville has received a total of $14.4 million and a UofL researcher will oversee another $8.9 million to help shape the manufacture, distribution and marketing of tobacco products as they are regulated by the FDA under the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act.
