UofL to continue to increase living wage for employees
The university became Kentuckyās first public university to implement a living wage when it increased its minimum wage for regular status staff employees from $8.67 to $10 per hour in November. Provost Shirley Willihnganz has approved a proposal to increase its minimum wage by 25 cents per hour per year for the next four years, starting this July and continuing in 2015, 16, and 17 ā bringing the rate to $11 per hour by July 2017.
