Archivists from the University of Louisville are seeking the sights and sounds of the Louisville rock music scene to fill out their latest collection.

The University of Louisville’s Hite Art Institute is the new home for ā€œThe International Honor Quilt,ā€ an assemblage of more than 600 quilted triangles honoring women, thanks to a gift from the nonprofit art organization Through the Flower, founded by noted artist Judy Chicago.

UofL to continue to increase living wage for employees
The university became Kentucky’s first public university to implement a living wage when it increased its minimum wage for regular status staff employees from $8.67 to $10 per hour in November. Provost Shirley Willihnganz has approved a proposal to increase its minimum wage by 25 cents per hour per year for the next four years, starting this July and continuing in 2015, 16, and 17 – bringing the rate to $11 per hour by July 2017.
